About us

The International Pre-Autistic Network was founded in 2006 by Dr Stella Acquarone. Dr Acquarone has worked for over 30 years as an adult and child psychotherapist, specialising in early intervention with autism.

ipAn is an independent charity with a Board of Trustees who ensure that the organisation works towards its vision of giving every child the best possible chance of realising their potential.

ipAn’s current Trustees are:

Dr Johns is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrist and a Psychoanalyst. He served as consultant in charge of the Tavistock’s Day Unit for Disturbed Children. He now works in private practice.
